The output temperature is adjustable using heavy duty globe valves that provide independent throttling of both steam and water. Outlet water temperature is easily controlled by adjusting the globe valves.
Typically, open the water side globe valve (BLUE knob) first, then open the steam side globe valve (RED knob) all the way.
Next, turn on water flow by operating the nozzle and allow it to run for at least several seconds until outlet water temperature levels off as indicated by the dial thermometer.
To increase outlet water temperature, partially close the water side globe valve (BLUE knob) until the desired water temperature is shown on the thermometer dial.
As long as the steam and water pressures meet the requirements shown on the capacity charts, any outlet water temperature up to the safety shutoff temperature of the cartridge (either 150°F or 180°F) can be adjusted.
